I woke up Saturday morning bright and early, unfortunately for me I was also very dizzy and naseous. I've never been more dizzy in my life. I got up to let Boomer out and thought I was going to have to sit down in the kitchen, I also sat in front of the toilet for quite awhile thinking I was going to throw up. Even when I laid in bed, I had to lay on my right side or else the room kept on spinning. Needless to say I was scared.
I've never experienced dizziness like that. I texted Sean and I could tell he was worried about me. He kept telling me to go to the emergency room, but I didn't really think there was anything they could do for me.
I'm not sure what caused this. I know dizziness and naseua are both side effects of my birth control, but this is the fifth month I've been on it, I couldn't imagine that those effects would just now be kicking in. I called my mom and told her about it and she said my dad and grandma have experienced dizzy spells like that. I guess the other option was that something was up with my inner-ear, but I have no infection or anything like that in it, so I'm actually clueless as to what caused it.
I ended up laying around most of yesterday, even though I did clean a bit. I just didn't feel like myself. I really needed to go to the gym, but the thought of me getting dizzy on a treadmill and injurying myself was less than appealing.
Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? I am happy to report that today when I woke up there was no dizziness.

It may have been vertigo. I have had that before after having sinus issues. It was inner ear though I didn't have an ear infection or anything. I felt fine when it happened.
At least you felt better the next day.
When that happens to me, its usually because my blood sugar is really low... but then I'm too nauseous to eat. I usually try to force down some crackers or juice, then wait 30 minutes, and eat a small meal. That generally takes care of it. I hope you find out what it is!
I have experienced this as a form of aura associated with the onset of a migraine....have you ever had them? I would definitely talk to your doctor....even with the symptoms along with seizures, I never got the headache, but my neurologist said that in the absence of my test results showing anything else, it was just the symptoms of it....I now take medication that has, thankfully blocked most all of the symptoms and the migraines for the last four years, but I was plagued with them since early childhood....
You can get them later in life and birth-control can bring them on as well, any hormone shift can....in some women.
I certainly hope you don't experience it again and you continue to feel better, but don't let it pass without checking into it.
That is exactly how I felt when I was pregnant with Max. You might want to take a test.
I hope that never happens again! I'm sorry I can't help you figure out the medical mystery.
I've had that so bad before I couldn't stand up. Found out it was a viral inner ear infection and there was nothing you could do but take the dizziness medicine. Glad to hear you are feeling better.
It could be vertigo, like T said. Especially if it lasted so long. I'm glad you feel better!
I had vertigo once and it was awful. I woke up one morning and fell over trying to put my pants on. Then I puked. a lot.
Hope your feeling better!
Like the others, it sounds like vertigo to me. I've never experienced it personally but I have known people who have. I would definitely get to a doctor so they can check you out. That's scary stuff!
I hope you are feeling back to your normal self today!

My thoughts? Pregnancy, vertigo/inner ear infection, blood sugar drop, or aura to a migraine.
I hope you find an answer, that doesn't sound fun at all!
my sister ended up with a diagnosis of vertigo after the same symptoms...came and went, so if it comes again, get thee to a doctor (better have someone drive if you're dizzy and nauseous!)
