How many of you have ever played Apples to Apples?
I recently played it at a friends and I LOVED it. If you've never played it basically the idea is that you always have seven cards and one designated player lays down a card with a word on it. You pick one of your seven cards that you think compliments the original card and lay it down. The person who laid down the card then chooses which card they like best. The person that put down the card that the person picks wins that card. Sometimes the match is right on and sometimes it's really, really strange. It provides a lot of laughs though.
Of course I'm trying to convince my friends that it would make an excellent drinking game.
What games do you love to play?

That is such a great game! Haven't played it in forever though. Our favorite is a game called Killer Bunnies. The hard thing is it can take 1 whole night to really learn how to play it. But it is so much fun!
During my psych rotation in nursing school, we played Apples to Apples with the psych patients...it was HILARIOUS
LOVE this game! We all discovered it when a friend brought it camping now it gets hauled around every time we have a girls night.
The other one is electronic Catch Phrase, if you haven't gotten hooked on that one it's just as fun and also drinking game material.
I love this game! When we were in college I loved playing it with my exchange student friends, and they loved it too, because it helped them learn English idioms. :) It's my favorite.
I've never played it, but after reading this I might go pick one up. We are pretty old school & usually stick with Monopoly, Life, or Clue
I love this game! We bust it out around the holidays when the fam is all in town and we definitely have our fair share of drinks while we play....
I love apples to apples, but my guys does not, so it's reserved for girls night! I also love Taboo and scattegories!! This post reminded me of how much I love game nights, we need to have one soon!
I'm a Scrabble nerd! I absolutely love it and I always beat my husband which makes it even better :)
I love this game and rule at it! :) We are big game people and play as often as we can. We also like Taboo. We always play guys vs. girls and it is so much fun and so funny. I like to host big holiday dinners (most can't afford to fly home for the holidays, so we gather as many as we can) and while we're digesting, we play games. Good times.
I LOVE Apples to Apples...it's hilarious :)
I love Apples to Apples!
My other faves are Say Anything and What's Yours Like?
Both awesome games that are even funnier when you've been drinking just a wee bit. :)
I Love that Game! My girl friends get together for Apples to Apples nights and always have a blast.
I had never played this game before a couple of weeks ago. My Soldier and I played it with another couple and its SO fun. Get the right group to play with and its hilarious!
This game is so fun with a group!!! I haven't played it in awhile!
I love Apples to Apples! So fun. Also love Taboo, Catch Phrase and good ol' Pictionary.
I have never played but have heard great things about it. And now after reading your post and comments I have heard even more great things about it!
Can you play with only 2 players or do you need more? Most of our games need 4 or more so we can't play unless we have friends over.
We absolutely love that game and it is a fun drinking game too hehehe
Love apples 2 apples!
We used to play it in college all the time!
I'm also a fan of Dirty Minds and Catch Phrase.
We love the german game The settlers of Catan!

LOVE this game. My MIL introduced me to it and even though I NEVER win, it's still always a good time! My other fav right now is Phase 10. It's like rummy played with special fun cards and you have to get a certain spread every round... ex: a set of 3 and run of 5 then 7 of the same color on the next round. It's great!
I LOVE Apples to Apples. I've been playing it for years and love playing it when people come over. You get to learn so much about a person based on the card they pick. :o)
I ♥ this game! I wish more people liked to do game nights.
