Dressed for Success...I Need Your Opinion!

As promised here are pictures of the two dresses that I'm trying to decide between for our upcoming Battalion Ball. The pictures aren't the best, the dresses look lifeless on the hanger, but you get an idea of what I'm choosing between.

The first is my senior prom dress that thankfully I can fit into again. It's salmon colored with some jewels at the top, strapless and has a lace up back.

Here's the dress. Please ignore the wrinkles, it was in my household goods.

A closer look at the bust of the dress.

This is my other choice. Kind of a 50's vibe to it.

A close-up of the hem of the dress.

Both dresses need a small amount of work. Both need to be dry-cleaned, and the shorter dress needs to be taken in, as well as having a minor repair to the zipper done. Nothing major and neither should be expensive to take care of.

I'm thinking of wearin silver shoes with each dress, but perhaps black with the turquoise dress. I'm thinking of doing loose curls, with my hair pinned back on one side, sort of a Veronica Lake, glam vibe.

Ok..let me know your opinions and if you have any more ideas for me, let me know!

I like the turqouise dress with the black tulle the best. And the hair idea sounds beautiful! I think you'll look classic and gorgeous!

I'm with Kebi! You should totally wear the turquoise dress. I think it would look great with the way you are going to wear your hair.

Ikea is in Padova. It's about 30 odd minutes away toward Venice. Super easy to get to. Take the A4 Autostrada toward Venice and exit at Padova Est (you cant miss it, you will see Ikea from the Autostrada) once you pay the toll just keep to the right and it should take you right into the parking garage for Ikea. They also have a store a lot like Ikea at the larger Paramadi Mall called Ovvio. Its like a shrunken more expensive Ikea. If you need anything else you know where to find me!! :)

I'm a fan of the turquoise if you are doing your hair that way. (Which I love!) :) Either way you'll look fab!

I will also be different and go with the red one. I love the length and lace-up back look.

Oh yeah, I forgot to say WOOHOO!!! on being able to fit into the dress from your senior year! That's pretty impressive. (shh, I think I'm still 4 sizes too big to fit into mine, haha)

I like the salmon one. Its my color right now though. But I like the legnth of it. I think the turqoise could be the wrong length of the ball. Just an opinion though. LOVE the hairstyle. It'll look great on you

I like the turquoise one but I don't know how fancy these things are. If it's really fancy, I'd go long. Ohhh, you know what would be pretty, if you shortened the salmon colored one! But, I don't know what length is appropriate.

I'm not going to be much help because I like them both! I don't think you could go wrong with either one - they're both cute! :)

I think the salmon one, especially since it is a Ball. I think the longer one would be better and the color is beautiful.

I like them both but I have to say my fav is the turqouise one.
I hope you have an awesome time!

I think the hair idea would work out wonderfully with the turquoise dress! Love it!

Short and sexy!! Vote for the turquoise.

You can totally dress it up if you're worried that it's not long enough. Accessories are everythingggg!! :)

I also like the rest is written's idea.

I'm thinkin more about the dressiness of the event.

Hmm is buying a new one out of the question?? Then again I'm terrible and find any excuse to shop!

I vote the short, turquoise dress! It's fun and springy! Plus, your hair will look awesome with it!

I love the second dress! But I think I would personally wear the salmon one for the length (more "ball-like" IMO). They're both pretty! The hair sounds purty too!

Second dress! I love the 50's vibe and I think with the right shoes and maybe a cool wrap you will look amazing! I did short to my first ball too, but I dressed it up a bit more so it wasn't just a cocktail dress. Ohh and maybe if you pin your hair back on the sides you could get some of those really pretty pins with flowers or jewels on them! Just and idea! Oh and peep-toed shoes! :)
