I need a change

First of all today I'd like to alert you about a couple of neat giveaways.

Check out Make Mine a Mojitos awesome jewelry giveaway and then go check out Monogram Chick's cute recipe box giveaway. Believe me, you do not want to miss out on either one of these giveaways!

I need to do something to my hair ASAP. It's been late July since it's been highlighted and I thought about waiting until December so I could go to my fave stylist in Oklahoma, but I'm not sure I can wait that long. It's not that it looks really bad, since I'm a natural blonde the roots aren't bad at all. I'm thinking of putting a little more brown in my hair though and getting a few inches cut off too. Nothing drastic, just a nice change.

I'm not planning on going this dark all over, but I would like that lighter brown color blended into my hair. What do you think? Be honest! I won't be offended.

For all of those that asked me yesterday what Jen Lancaster book I read, it was her first, Bitter is the new Black. I'll probably get the next two sometime in the near future, as we don't have a bookstore here in town. Yes, that's right we don't have a bookstore in Leesville. I actually think that I'd rather have a bookstore in town over a Starbucks and a Chili's(neither of which we have here either).

I was watching What Not to Wear last night an started wondering if they had it on DVD. The answer is yes! I found them on the TLC website this morning. I may have to order some. That's seriously one of my favorite shows, I could watch it over and over. I just love Stacy and Clinton! I wish I could meet them and be on the show without throwing all of my clothes away. However, I think maybe they'd let some of my clothes remain, but then again I bet a lot of people say that go on the show.

I'm going to go get my Visa taken care of tomorrow, as the lady at in/out processing called me Friday to let me know my passport was in. I didn't expect it to be so fast! It seriously only took about two weeks. I was thinking more along the lines of a month. No complaining here though, I'm just glad it's already in.

Everyone on-post is going all out in decorating for Halloween. I talking about tombstones in the yards compelete with skeletons, large blow-up ghosts on roofs, other various Halloween stuff stuck up....and then you look at our house and we have nothing outside. I do plan on getting a Jack O'Lantern, but I don't really get into the Halloween spirit. My house is decorated inside for fall, but not really for Halloween. I just don't really get into it anymore. I can't tell you the last time I went to a Halloween party or even the last time I dressed up. I do enjoy the candy though and eating those tasty mini-Hershy bars. Anyone else like me? Or is everyone in the Halloween spirit?

I love the hair color too! Post a picture when you get your hair done so we can all see!

I'm not really a Halloween person either. I never have been!

I love the hair color in the picture you posted! I like darker or warmer tones for the winter. I totally think you could pull it off!

I am not so much of a Halloween person, maybe moreso when we have kids. I am however REALLY big on decorating for fall in general!

Hubby and I are actually thinking of reinlisting for duty station of choice which would be Italy!! :)

I am not really into the Halloween decorating. I don't have any sort of decoration up. A house in my neighborhood has a wonderful entryway. They have these pumpkin/jack-o-lanterns that are really cute. They light up and are kind of sparkly. There are also some orange rope lights. Everytime I walk past their house I think how pretty it looks.

The brown is beautiful! I think it would look really good on you. As far as decorating, you did better than me, all I have is a tiny little Scarecrow-on-a-stick in my front yard! It was $1.99 impulse buy at Wal-Mart, what are you gonna do?! Good luck with the hair!

I definitely don't decorate for Halloween. I'm just not a fan of the holiday, despite my love for creeeeeppyyy movies! The only thing I really like about Halloween is the candy. But, I always wait until Nov. 1 to buy it 1/2 off.

I am decorated for Fall as well. Mainly because I can leave the Fall stuff up until I change it out for Christmas stuff. Good luck with the hair decisions!

You know I love dark hair and I'm sure it would look great on you especially with your fair skin.

Speaking of not having a bookstore, think of what you want to do here. Everything is maybe 5 miles or less from my apartment including bookstores, target, forever 21 and chili's haha but we do have better local restaurants than chili's. Great happy hour there though.

your right the mini hershey bars rock. I find it harder to control eating this time of year vs. thanksgiving or christmas!

We havent decorated the outside... we probably wont, I'm afraid if I put anything up something will drag it away and eat it. We'll probably get our pumpkins this weekend and thats about it.
