Forgetful Wife, Handbags Galore and a question.

I officially feel as if I'm a bad wife. Sean asked me this morning if I would mind ironing his OG's for work this morning. No problem I said, I do this nearly every morning. Somehow though between eating my peanut butter toast and primping I completely forgot to iron them for him.

I didn't even remember until he sent me a text while I was at work.

Him: "Forget something this morning?"

Me: "What?"

I'm sitting there racking my brain. Did I not turn off the curling iron? Forget to feed the dog? Then it came to me. I forgot to iron his OG's!

I felt bad and apologized, but there wasn't a lot I could do about it since I was already at work.

I'm really craving sushi today. I actually have been for the past week or so, but I keep putting off the craving. I think today is the day I'm going to go get some. I'm thinking about an Alaska roll and maybe some soup. I'm not sure what I'm going to do when I'm pregnant and can't eat sushi!

Speaking of pregnancy, I've been having the most vivid pregnancy dreams the last few months. When I'm dreaming I can actually feel myself pregnant and look down and see my expanding abdomen. It's really freaky honestly.

When I looked up what pregnancy dreams mean it said you are growing personally, towards some goal, ambition, etc. Personally? I think it means I think about having a baby a lot. Even though I'm not ready to yet, I still think about it everyday.

Ok, so Sean and I have been having a disagreement about the dishwasher. Please tell me your opinions on this. See, Sean believes everything should be pretty much sparkling clean before it is put in the dishwasher. I think things should be rinsed off or caked on stuff should come off, but I don't agree with everything being spotless before it goes in the dishwasher. Besides sanitizing what do I really need the dishwasher for then? So what do you do? Are the dishes sparkling clean before you put them in? Or are you like me and just mostly rinse them?

Yesterday I was commenting on a friend's MySpace page about us going to Italy (she's already there) and how I couldn't wait to see her, etc. Then I read her blog and find out she and her husband are separating and she's going back to California. This is the second time in a month I've stuck my foot in my mouth commenting on some one's page! I quickly deleted the comment and prayed she hadn't read it yet. So much for knowing anyone in Italy though! I was excited to get to hang out with her and I feel bad that she and her husband are having these problems.

I first saw this on Megan's blog, but I wanted to share it with y'all. Go to Handbag Planet! They are having a grand opening on Oct. 15th and are giving away 24 purses in 24 hours. Some of the purses are beyond cute! I myself, want the Burberryesque bag.

(As seen on Handbag Planet)

Seeing all the cute purses on there has me jazzed about going shopping tonight. One of my co-workers asked me yesterday if I was going by myself and why wasn't I taking anyone? Honestly? There are only a few people I like going shopping with and none of them happen to live here. Plus, when I want to do some marathon shopping, as I plan on doing tonight, then I don't really want anyone with me. Make sense? Am I the only woman out there like that?

Have a fab Wednesday everyone!

I haaaate shopping with other people. Probably because when I shop, I "buy". I don't wander around and look at things I have no intention of purchasing--I am a woman on a mission! Plus, shopping makes me cranky, and really, I like my friends. I would never inflict them with that :)

As for the dishes? I hold them under running water for about 2 seconds before shoving them in the dishwasher. :)

I have always been anti-rinsing. I always thought that was the purpose of the dishwasher, to take care of it all. Obviously, I scrape any serious things off the plates, but that was it.. until we moved here. Our apt. dishwasher is horrendous and can't get any thing off. So now I am forced to rinse like mad. But, if that wern't the case, I would never rinse a dish in my life!

Same way about the shopping! Would usually rather go by myself!

Opposite on the dishes... I'm just like Sean. I basically wash the dish before putting it in the dishwasher. I've seen too many dishwasher leaving caked on food or streaks of gunk... ick. My mom always did it too though so I guess that's probably where it comes from.

Don't worry about the ironing! We all forget :) Have a great day!

I don't like to go shopping by myself! I just rinse the dishes off, but right now the dish washer is broke so I have to hand wash them. I always forget to iron stuff -- I have so much going on with the kids and homeschooling. Thanks for sharing -- Much Love --

I think about babies all the time too.

Ya know, they say a sign of pregnancy is forgetfulness. ;)

You could always do a test with the dishwasher. See how they come out if you don't rinse them off. That's how I became a convert to doing only minimal rinsing - they came out of the dishwasher perfectly clean!

I like shopping solo, too. I feel like I'm boring someone if I'm trying on clothes, etc.

*R* is a freak about the dishwasher. He gets all upset if he sees me put a pan on the top rack. We seriously got into an argument about it once.

He insisted that they DO NOT go up there, and I insisted that it DOES NOT matter, as long as they get clean! As for the rinsing, I just do a quick rinse and shove it in. He on the other hand rinses, washes, repeats, then puts it in the dishwasher.

Oh and I NEVER touch his uniforms. He's a bit on the OCD side about them so I just refuse to start down that road. I have a feeling it would only lead to hurt feelings and me telling him to just do it himself.

Man, given the two scenarios above he sounds totally OCD...hmmm....

Sorry for such a short response earlier. I was in the middle of falling asleep for the 12th time today, and I hardly remember most of my days thanks to the meds. Anyways, if I came off rude, I apologize.

As for the dishes, I have a pretty bad dish washer. I wash most everything off of them before I put them in it, but if there were like eggs or a sandwich that didn't dry on it, i'll throw it in as is. Mark has a tendency to throw anything in the dishwasher without getting stuck on food off it. He even puts pots in it! I have to explain to him some things are handwash only.

And thank you for the purse site. If mark yells at me for spending too much money I'll send him here to warrant his complaints.

I have pregnancy dreams all the time. I have no idea why. As far as the dishes go, I only rinse. With shopping, I have to go alone if I am looking for something specific. Other people just slow me down. But, if I am just looking around, then I like to go with friends.

I clean them before putting them in the dishwasher. It's just me so they sit there for a few days before I start it up! That's my defense. As for shopping, I hate shopping with other people because I'm usually set on buying certain things and don't want to spend too much time looking at something I don't plan on getting!

If you are really craving kids I can send mine out there right quick. That'll hold you off for a while!

My husband is like Sean. His big thing is that he would rather handwash dishes, I hate handwash dishes, I need the heat cycle of the dishwasher to feel like they are sanitary. He doesnt know that everytime he hand washes dishes I take them out of the cabinet and wash them in the dishwasher. If he's going to be hard headed so am I. : )

believe me, the dishes do not need to be sparkling clean before going in the dishwasher!!! why even have a dishwasher if they're going to be pristine when you put them in?!

hope you're getting excited about Italy! you'll have so much fun!

If you have shushi today, please have some for me too!!! And I worry about this same thing, not being able to have it when I am preggo some day - ugh!

I put dishes in the dishwashers with crap on them. If its a lot or something sticky I will do a quick rinse but I just throw it all in - that is what a dishwasher is for right?!?!?

I agree that they shouldn't be spotless before going in or else what's the point? My mom is the same as your husband though. She actually goes to the length of handwashing them before throwing them in the dishwasher.
