Question of the Day

Because this map is making it's way all over the blogging world:

(Yes, this is my personal map)

I decided to do a Question of the Day around it.

Where is your favorite place/state that you've traveled in the United States? Make your answer as detailed as you want! I love hearing others' travel stories.

Hawaii!!! I'd go back in a heartbeat. It's even more gorgeous than it is in pictures.

Oh this is such a hard question for me! I love to travel and I've been a lot of places. I'd say for a quick weekend getaway that it's got to be Memphis, TN. there's just so much history there from MLK to Elvis!

Two other great places, Los Angeles! There's so much to do there. Overseas... London. I LOVED IT!!!

Oooo lets see my favorite place I have been to in the U.S. as cliche as this sounds is Disney World lol. I have been there a few times and am dying to go back again! But non the less the hubby refuses to go.
I love WDW though, it was awesome, so much to do. And it is just an amazing place to be! I LOVE IT!!!

In a month I'm sure it will be HAWAII!!

But for now, I think Florida. I feel so relaxed there, everyone's laid back, there's beaches and alligators and my family there so that's probably my current favorite.

Although I really love central PA and NC will always have a special place in my heart :).

Haha

I'd always go back to Washington State. There is everything from water to mountains to desert. Plus, I love how outdoorsy everyone in WA is.

My favorite state would have to be California.
I'm not sure if it counts since I live here although I was born and raised in Illinois.
California is just amazing. The weather, the people, the beach, the mountains, even the desert has something to offer. It's just beautiful here. Although it is rather expensive to live here it's worth it.

We are currently stationed in Alaska. It's probably by far my favorite. I say I hate it and some days I do, but it's truly gorgeous pretty much everyday!!
I just do not love the negative 40 weather.

OMG...I've been to so many states it's hard to pin it down. Partial to Hawaii because I did some growing up there (and my family is from there), also to NY because I did a ton of growing up there as well. And California...so much to do! I might post about this myself!

Probably New York. I've only been to the city but I've been five times and will go back in a heartbeat! There is so much to do and the food is amazing! I'm obsessed with all of the beautiful buildings...I know, I know...but I guess Hawaii was nice, too.

I'm partial to New Mexico since it's my home-state. Growing up, all I wanted to do was get out of that "wasteland," but now it's heaven to me. I've traveled a lot since the days when all I wanted to do is leave, and I can safely say that it's my favorite place.

I say that I love my own state most, Maine! I also really liked visiting Alaska when Rob was stationed there, and I've also been sent to Colorado for work which I enjoyed. If I can't be near the ocean I need majestic mountains :)

I also really loved Nashville, TN. Such a lovely city with a ton of soul. Same with New Orleans - I was there a year after Katrina and it was just a city that was absolutely fascinating to me.

I agree with other commenters, that's a hard question! I'm going to have to cheat a little bit... the most beautiful place I've ever been in the contiguous US was Glacier Park in Montana. Out of all 50 states, Kauai, Hawaii!

I would have to say either DC or San Diego. Mr. I and I are making both trips very soon. DC is within driving distance and has so much stuff to do and see there. San Diego because it is my hometown and I miss a lot of things about it...especially the Mexican food.
