So ANGRY!

I am so angry right now...as in I'm shaking angry.

I came on-post today to do my shift at the USO. On my way I got stopped by the MP. I had no idea why he pulled me over, as I knew I wasn't speeding.

Well 15 minutes later and an extremely rude MP later I had two tickets and six points off my driver license here.

The MP says I didn't stop at the stop sign (false) or make a left turn signal (false). I asked him if I could contest it and he got all pissy and said I could follow him to the MP Station. I informed him I was already late for work and didn't have time for that. I asked him how many points off my license these two tickets were and he said six and in a snotty way told me six more and they'd take my license. At that point I was tired of his rudeness and told him I was aware of that, because I'd taken the class.

Don't get me wrong, I have no issues with MPs, but I do have an issue with you being rude to me and ticketing me for things I didn't do just so you can make some sort of quota. I showed my boss the two tickets and she's going to do her best to get them taken care of. I hope that's possible.

What a day.

Oh no. I hope your boss can help you. If you're on post there should be some sort of way to contest it. I hope it works out for you.

At least it's not expensive, right? The fact that I don't have to pay for those makes me want to get more!

An MP on a power trip!! My husband is an MP and he is uber thankful that he's not one of the ones that gives out tickets.
And just to add to the MP powertrip story, there was one on the road that Josh's company was at yesterday, waiting to give tickets as people left their deploying friends/family. And there was NO other reason that anyone would be on that particular road as it's just a small road that dead ends. What an ass!

Ummm. Would today be a good day to deny that my husband is an MP? Lol. (Please don't hate me ;D) My husband said that at your USAG website there should be a way to file an ICE complaint against the MP. He said the points don't really matter unless you spend the bulk of your time driving badly you should be fine on the license stand point. That's all the help he was, but he's also trying to mediate a "stairwell war" and wasn't really listening to my question...lol. Good luck and I'm sorry you got a jerk. We're not all so bad!

Random...would you ask the "high heels and combat boots" blogger above me if she would be interested in a chat? One of my best MP friends and his wife just got to drum. I'm wondering if she has any helpful knowledge about the area. lol. If not then just ignore me ;)Thanks!

YIKES!!! I got a ticket a few months ago because I threw my cell phone at an MP. The jackass almost gave me a ticket for talking on my cell phone while PARKED!!! I was pissed to say the least, but thankfully I got out of it!

I'm sorry that happened! Some people just love being mean! And seriously, to give you two tickets? I mean if they thought you really did something they could have just given one. What a jerk!

Hugs!!

Hopefully it will get taken care of and you CAN contest it if not! Don't let him ruin your day, ok?

That's so ridiculous. I got picked once for the "random" gate check at Drum and when I was asked if I had any weapons I told them I had a defensive baton and I thought the gate guy was going to jump out of his skin. Of course, I let him get it out and he had to call the MPs which gave me this whole spiel about how I couldn't have it because it was the same ones they carry and since it was NY I might as well have had a loaded gun in the seat next to me. He was all, I could give you a ticket, but I'm not going to this time...blah blah. Made me so nervous!

I would want to hit someone too. What a jerk. I'm always terrified of driving on base because I'm afraid of getting into trouble. Scares the hell out of me.

I'm sorry! I hope your boss can make things better!

I thankfully haven't had a run-in with an MP myself, other than the one I'm dating! :) Although I know that if I ever do... I'll never hear the end of it! lol

Good luck with it all! Sorry your MP was a jerk! All the ones I've met are awesome.

I am really sorry, Melissa! What a big dork that guy is.

Daniel once got a ticket for "going 26 mph around a corner."

Totally not possible without flipping our car. His First Shirt took one look at the ticket, laughed, and threw it out.

I hope that this is easily resolved and the guy takes a long hike of a short bridge :)
