Happy Hour

Tonight was another girls' night out in which we went out for sushi.

Oh.My.Gosh. It was heavenly! I had edamame, 12 pieces of assorted sushi and for dessert had this awesome nutella with rice sushi roll. So good!

The best part? The complimentary sake they gave us at the beginning of the meal. I'v never had sake before, but ladies, I am hooked! It was awesome!

(This is actually where we ate)

Which brings me to this question, what do you like to drink? Do you have a signature drink that you make, a wine that you can't live without?

My signature cocktail is a Champagne Cocktail...the old fashioned kind. Not many bartenders know how to make it anymore. If they ask "what kind of champagne cocktail?", I know they're going to mess it up! But it's pretty easy to make. :)

I love sake though. And sake bombs!

I pretty much don't discriminate when it comes to alcohol but I do have some favorites. My favorite wine is Alice White Lexia. My favorite beers are Leinenkugel Berry Weiss, Sweetwater Blue, or a Coors Light. I try to stay away from the liquor though..its generally bad news.

Haha, I love Kpod now!

I love Moscato wine, I make a vodka lemonade that I think I just made up one night and have been drinking it ever since. It's Grey Goose (grey goose got your girl feelin' loose!) lemonade, cranberry juice and sprite. Yes, it sounds crazy but it is GOOD! I love Round Rock beer, it's really light and I'm not a big beer drinker. And I love any kind of cocktail that has champagne in it!

I used to only drink cape cods but now I have become a wino. I love a big glass of a good heavy cab! I can sip on one glass all evening (except on bad days when it may or may not be a whole bottle!). I can't really drink any other kind of alcohol without getting sick the next day. Part of getting older I suppose.

Champagne my dear, or just a good glass of wine.

And that sushi place sounds like so much fun!

Omg dont get me thinking about alcohol haha this deloyment and pregnancy combined means Mr Soldier and I are going to be a sloppy mess after one glass of red wine when he's home! My favourite drink for sitting outside in the summer with is sangria but in england we have something called pimms, u should check it out and see if u have it in italy its amazing!

I'm right there with Expat Girl.. reading everyone's comments made me salivate a little bit. Probably because I can't have it! I love Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat or BL Lime in the summer. Nothing beats a margharita at a Mexican restaurant.. while sitting on the deck in the summer of course. When it comes to wine though I love Reisling!

It's only been a few months (at least 8!!!) since my last drink and I didn't miss it...until today! Thanks, Melissa! :)

I'm missing Moscato wine, the cheapest champagne (always the best), and these special margaritas made with Sprite, tequila, Corona and 5 Alive frozen fruit juice (citrus flavor). Mmmmmm....

I'm all about some bubbles... champagne or sparkling wine and cocktails involving either.

If you want to make it a cocktail I love love love a good French 75. I agree with kd above, if the bartender has to ask you how to make anything it's not a good sign but seems to be particularly true with any type of champagne cocktail.

Oh man I wish I could eat sushi right now...I'll settle for the cooked stuff for now.
When I'm not pregnant I LOVE Woo Woo's (peach schnapps, vodka, and cranberry juice), anything with vodka in it, or a good Riesling wine.

Mmm... sushi! My sushi buddy (not P- he won't touch the stuff) is currently deployed, so I can't wait until he gets back and I can go for weekly sushi.

In terms of alcohol, I'm with Kpod on Leinie's BerryWeiss, but I also love their Summer Shandy and New Glarus Spotted Cow. I'm a beer girl mostly.

When it comes to cocktails, I never know what to order, and usually let my mood decide. I'll drink vodka cranberries, or vodka lemonades, or some times Long Islands, although I haven't really touched those since a rough night a year and a half ago.

I prefer mixed drinks, and I can't do rum or anything remotely dark - instant sicky! So I'm all about the vodka drinks. Give me a good Lemon Drop Martini and I'm set for the night! LOVE them!

I've recently discovered Moscato d' Asti. And I'm in LOVE!

I'm not a big drinker, so I haven't really discovered a favorite except for Moscato d'Asti. It's so stinkin' delicious and it is definitely what Scott and I will be toasting with at our reception because I can't stand Champagne.

I'm a recent newcomer to sushi and I love it!
I have a few drink favorites. First would be Moscato, then Blue Moon, then PINA COLADAS. I don't let myself drink those often though. :)

Vodka, Vodka, and more Vodka! :)

Oh gosh I LOVE veggie sushi. I know it kind of defeats the point but its still good! =] And no, I actually don't have a signature drink because I've actually never really tried any. You don't exactly get much other than beer in college and its easier to just haul around a bottle of jack, jim, or jose when you're...younger and not exactly legal. =]
