VLOG: Question of the Day

I've been inspired by a few other bloggers out there that have recently done a VLOG or have been talking about it. I thought after 3.5 years of blogging that it was time I did one too.

I apologize for the sound quality, you might have to turn it way up. My webcam doesn't have the greatest sound recording.

That is a tough one. I would grab my camera and external hard drive because I like you have all of my pictures on that. I would also get a few (if I can make one item a few :) ) of my porcelain dolls. I have some that were given to me by people who have passed and that is my only physical thing of them that I have. This post surly makes you look at all the material things that you have and realized that a lot of it is just things.

Love the vlog! The sound was fine for me, fyi. :)

My mom started the practice of keeping a "tornado bag" in her room with out baby books and family videos and anything else irreplaceable that she'd want to just grab quickly at a moment's notice. I've always thought that was a great idea and mean to do it myself, too, but I just haven't gotten around to it, yet. But my tornado bag is *going* to have our photo albums and my laptop. Everything else is insured. :) My laptop is, too, of course, but it has all of our pictures on it, you know.

Melissa,

Do you ever worry about that hard drive failing? or getting stolen? Do you back it up? I'm only asking bc it's something on my mind. I feel a desperate need to back up my external hard drives, but I NEVER do it. (Stupid, I know.) I often wonder how many people actually do it.

Nice vlog.

Oh good question.

I would grab my laptop because I do not have an external hard drive YET but I do keep them on another site where I could get to them if tragedy struck.

Great VLOG! I'd grab my computer with all my photos (I need an external hard drive), our important document folder with IDs, paperwork, certificates, etc..., and Bunn, the bean-filled bunny that was given to me when I was born.

OK, now I'm headed out to buy a hard drive!

I nearly squeeled when I read you did a vlog! I'm like "Oh my gosh, Chad, I get to hear Melissa's voice for the first time!" And you sound exactly how I figured you would.

First off, SOOO excited you did a vlog :)

As soon as you asked the question, I immediately thought my external HD. Like you, I have the last five years of pictures and documents stored on there. I would die if it were destroyed. My second item would be the blanket my mom made me from all of my baby clothes. I just stopped using it last year for fear of ruining it, so now it's safely sealed away. The third item would be the paw print molds of my childhood doggies.
