Goodbyes and a Suprising Ebay Addict

I just dropped my mom and brother off at the airport about an hour ago and I'm very sad. I sobbed part of the way home, sobbed when I came home to the empty apartment and just writing this makes me sad. Times like this I really, really miss home, my family and my friends. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful to have my European experience, but I miss home so much today.

The fam and I did have a wonderful time together and they are coming back next year (with my dad, who had to miss this trip) for hopefully another two weeks. One week of which we are supposed to be going on a cruise. Woo-hoo! Cinque Terre was great and I have pics, none of which are uploaded. I'm hoping to get them up on Wednesday. Cinque Terre was beautiful though and I can't wait to go back.

I have an Ebay addict in the house.

Me you ask? Some of you might be surprised to find out it's not me. It's Sean.

Here's the scene yesterday.

I'm in the kitchen trying to make green enchiladas for dinner

Sean: Ooohh....how about an autographed picture of Ronald Regan?

Me: Ronald Regan? Why would I want a picture of Ronald Regan in our apartment?

Sean: Oh...they have Clinton too. Awesome!

Me: I'll pass......

Sean: Megan Fox signed picture for $9.00! I have to have that!

Me: Are you sure that's even legit? It could be fake.

Sean: Hm....you might be right. There's a signed Transformer picture of her going for $700.00.

Since he's using my Ebay account, my e-mail inbox is now full of notices of bids, outbids and bid confirmations.

Houston, we have a addict problem.

Awe girl, I'm so sorry! I completely know how you feel. It's so hard saying goodbye, but at least you know they'll be there next year!

So glad to hear that you had a great time in Cinque Terre, I cannot wait to see your pictures!

And it sounds like you do have an eBay addict on your hands! oh boy ;)

I'm really missing my fam today top:( I was out walking Bella thinking of that very thing and how I need to make a visit soon...I'm glad you had a good time though and YAY for the cruise next year with your folks! I want to experience a cruise so badly but I doubt Robert would ever go. He hates boats:p

I used to collect those autographed pictures via eBay. Tip: Go to the really expensive ones and compare the signatures to the cheaper ones, that'll help you figure out which is legit and which isn't.

From someone who lives 3000 miles away from her family and friends, I know what you are going through. It gets easier!

Aw! I'm so sorry that you were sad to see your family go. I know it's hard to say goodbye to the people you love.

Haha that's too funny with the ebay addiction. Hopefully you guys can get that cleared up lol

Man, i'm sorry to hear that! It's always tough saying goodbyes. We never say goodbye in my family.. always "i'll see you later". My grandfather used to say that goodbyes are forever and that stuck with all of us! Start planning your trip for next year now.. that should help!

Being away from home is probably one of the hardest things about the military life. I feel your pain. =( But hey! Soon enough you'll be back in the states and wishing you could live this experience all over again. There are pros and cons everywhere, you just have to think of the glass as half full.

ummm, my husband bought a clunky old car off ebay. He's going to "restore" it. That was three years ago. It sits in a barn.

I've noticed that ebay seems to be a man thing, I guess us women have esty.

I'm sorry to hear you had to say goodbye to your family.

And I had to laugh about Sean, that's too funny. I'm not a fan of ebay myself.
