Blogging Hiatus and Question of the Day

I know I've been MIA for a few days, but it honestly wasn't planned. Sean and I went out with friends this weekend, since two of them are getting ready to leave the Army. Friday night was fun (Read: we didn't get in until 6 a.m.) So we spent Saturday recovering lost sleep and then that night attended a BBQ.

Yesterday I don't really have an excuse other than the fact I stared at my keyboard for 30 minutes and couldn't think of a thing to blog about.

So todays question of the day is this:

Do you have any unusual or strange talents?

Let me explain what I mean, I have this thing where someone will randomly enter my mind (not celeb) and within 2 days I'll see them. I might not have seen them in 3 years or more, but I'll still randomly see them. This happened the other day when Sean and I were discussing a solider on post and as soon as I said something about her she walked in the USO. It honestly kind of freaks me out at times.

Care to share yours?

I have a wicked sense of smell. I'm like a hound dog, and can pick up any scent. It freaks my husband out.

And what's funny is my husband does the same exact thing as you. It blows his mind. He'll be talking about someone and sure enough that day or the next we'll see them.Or hear someone else bring them up in a conversation. Very Twilight Zone.

I have super good hearing. I'll be downstairs in the house and can hear when someone wispers upstairs. I'm really good at being able to hear anything anywhere!

I have a knack for talking crap about people as they are walking up behind me. Ack. Maybe I should just stop talking crap.

I've had that happen to me before and it really freaked me out. I was at dinner with my best friend a couple of years ago. While at dinner, somehow, this guy we went to elementary/middle school with came up in conversation. We wondered what had happened to him as he had seemingly dropped off the face of the earth. After dinner, we walked across the street to Barnes and Noble to grab some coffee. Low and behold, that guy we had just been talking about whom we hadn't seen since 8th grade, was sitting in the cafe of Barnes and Noble... right beside us. We were both like holy crap is that really him?!

I haven't noticed it happening regularly, but that one time really stuck out in my mind.

I'm not sure how well I can describe my fabulous talent, but I'll try. On my right hand, I can put my pinkie and middle fingers together, as though a little tent, and then push my ring finger in and out. It serves no purpose other than to look vaguely obscene, but hey, it's my one weird talent!

I do stuff like that too sometimes. I just get weird "De Ja Vu" experiences. It always happens several times within a short time period, then I'll go for months and months without it happening again.

And-- I'm pretty sure this is a super power that every woman has-- I can remember the most minescule of details from conversations or events I had or experienced years ago.

No freaky talents here.
Go ahead though, start thinking about me so we can mysteriously run into each other in Italy. Sounds like fun :)

Also, I have been dead to the world today because of Elton John last night. And it wasn't even THAT late when we got home! UGH! I think it is called "getting old"! I'm hosting a blog giveaway! Come over and enter!! :)

ummmmm i think i have super sonic hearing!

for example, the commissary here has an anti-bird device at the front of the store that lets out these high pitched screeches that matt can't hear. and i guess no one else can hear them either because i don't see anyone else walking around with their fingers in their ears.

it's really awful.

I'm boring and have no special talents that I can think of. I can play the piano, but not well. I can type fast, but who really cares about that. I am a pretty good judge of character right off the bat, now if I could just listen to my intuition about some people, my life might be easier!!!
