That's What She Said

Ok...so as promised yesterday I said I'd blog about what was said by the other military wives at dinner the other night.

So, first of all my friend R was with us, she's Italian and super cool. I joke about how she's really an American born into an Italian girls body because she's just very American acting. Anyway, she had suggested this chicken place for us to go to. Before we left our friends house this other girl (who was not originally invited might I add) pipes up and says she wants to go to this other place because it's the same as the other place and the Italian servers aren't as rude. Umm....we have an Italian in our group? Perhaps you should think about that before opening your mouth. Mmkay?

Next up, we are sitting at the restaurant and somehow the subject of sex comes up. Well one of the wives says something to the effect of, "Well my husband and I bone" and then she turns to R and says, "boning is an American word for sex". It was all I could do not to laugh. Ok..I'm pretty sure anyone(including foreign people) knows what the word bone means and secondly who says bone? I haven't heard that one since middle school!

Finally, we got on the subject about the fact that there have been some break-in's at military families homes. It's common knowledge here that gypsies are usually the ones responsible, but one of the wives insisted that it was Italians breaking in and we should all arm ourselves with various weapons. I'm not joking when she told us she was going to get a machete.

It was an interesting night to say the least....

I would leave her home next time, but then again she did make for an interesting post. Some people just don't think.

Haha! There was probably a reason she wasn't invited...

Hmmmm wonder why some Europeans have a bad impression of Americans.

Does it come in pink?

Wow. You should just leave her out of the group.

Ha. Wow. Yeah, pretty sure I wouldn't be inviting her again!

Although investing in a home defense weapon might not be a bad idea, though I'm sure Boomer is a great guard dog :)

OMG I hate it when people invite themselves along and do nothing but make themselves look like idiots GRRR!

Some people are just interesting aren't they? You have to wonder, did someone drop you on your head as a child? Because really, who says stuff like that?

I think the part about getting a machete is classic. I would never associate Italy and machetes.lol

I might or might not have a machete between my mattress and box springs. Sheeze! Jed wanted me to get a gun for walking through the parking lot at school. Granted, it is in the ghetto and someone was accosted (is that the right word) last week but UGH seriously?

Girls are crazy in general. Absolutely BATSHIT crazy. Thanks for sharing!

I use the word bone quite a bit. :P I hear other people use it a bit too, so maybe it's a little more common where I live.
