The Present You Never Received

Another Christmas blog! I'm sorry, but I just can't help myself.

I was thinking the other day about the wonderful Christmases I had as a child and then I remembered the Christmas present I asked for year after year and never got.

This:

The life-sized Barbie Corvette! I always wanted one and never got one. I guess I made up for it a little when I was 16 and actually bought my own Corvette, but still I always remember wanting that car so much when I was little.

Did you ever have a gift like that?

A Very Cool Gift Idea

So, in reference to yesterday's question, let me just say that I completely agree with all of you that chimed in and said you find it disgusting. Let me tell you though that on the forum where this was debated, that there was actually one or two ladies that said, "I change my child at the table regularly and if you have a problem with me doing it, then you can leave the restaurant." Can you believe that?

Anyway, I was browsing on Etsy today and I ran across this awesome shop that sells spices for dips, popcorn, tea, Indian food and Asian food.

Above is a picture of the dip seasonings, the flavors are:

1)French Onion
2)Chili Con Queso
3)Crab Dip
4)Sweatin' Bullets
5)Dill and Spice
6)Peppercorn
7)Jalapeno Spinach
8)Lime Cilantro

Maybe it's just the foodie in me, but I think this would be an awesome present to get. The popcorn spices look just as tasty.

The Etsy shop is called SpiceSpiceBaby, click here for a link.

Gifts Galore!

How was everyone's Christmas?

Mine ended up being pretty good. Our plans at one of my Grandma's house were indeed cancelled for Christmas Eve, but we've postponed until next weekend.

I got some great items for Christmas. That pink Old Navy coat that I've raved about was one of my favorite gifts. I also got an unabriged Italian dictionary (I know I'm a geek) a season of Designing Women, some Passport to Europe DVD's, some Corningware and a ton of other great stuff.

However, I'd like to show you one of my not so favorite gifts. Now let me just say I'm not complaining about gifts. It's just that my Aunt always gives weird gifts and often tells us (like she did today) that she found it in her closet. Ok..if you are finding these items in your closet, why are you telling the gift recepient that? Oh and let me just say ignore my hair. I swear it looks cute now, but I had it up because of all the wind yesterday.

But, without further ado:

Thoughts?
