Word to the Wise

Just a little PSA for you. NEVER, EVER buy a Chevy Cobalt.

My family is a Chevy family, we buy nothing else, however, I told my Dad a few weeks ago that I will never buy a new Chevy from a dealership again.

For starters, my car was recalled for the power steering that keeps going out. My car has had this problem for 6 months and I'm STILL waiting on the recall for my year so that I can FINALLY get this car fixed.

Currently there is something wrong with our wheel bearings/CV joints and our car seriously is so loud that it vibrates me when I'm driving. I'm scared to drive it right now. It's to the point where Sean and I are looking into renting a car because we are afraid the car will break down on us.

Because we are overseas driving an American brand of car, we are looking at parts taking at least a month to get to us.

At this point, I'm really considering taking either a sledghammer or a torch to my car. I haven't decided which yet.

So..for your sake. Listen to me and never buy a Cobalt. It's just not worth it!

Ugh!! What a pain! But if you're still deciding, I'd go with the torch- way less work on your part. All kidding aside, I hope the problem get better quicker than you think!

Oy. I'm sorry, that stinks. I am definitely a Chevy person, but the Cobalt never appealed to me. My mom's family has always been very GM. When they got me a Taurus as my first car (totally misleading statement, since they "got it for me" but I had to buy it of of them) I thought my grandpa was going to come out of his chair. "Ford?!?!"

Good grief, do NOT rent a car. Ruben's car is just sitting in my driveway, not being used at all. You are more than welcome to use it for as long as you need to. It's not perfect but it runs fine and you'd be doing us a favor by driving it. Just throwing that out there!

Good luck on getting the Cobalt fixed. It's just one more than made more difficult over here.
