Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong decade. Do any of you ever feel that way? My parents are convinced I should have lived in the 70's as I love all things from that time.
I bought this shirt today:
Not from Forever 21 actually. Surprised?
I'm a huge fan of Saturday Night Fever. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned that on here before, but it's pretty much the best movie and soundtrack ever. So what's a fan without her vintage Saturday Night Fever shirt?
I also love this one, but have yet to buy it.
I was browsing TV shows on Amazon today and it took me back to the TV shows I used to love to watch when I was younger. (These are of the non-cartoon variety)
Little House on the Prairie, I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, Green Acres, Petticoat Junction, Designing Women, WRKP In Cincinnati, Cheers.
What were some of your faves?

I always feel like I was born in the wrong decade. My parents feel like I should have grown up in the late 60's because I am a total hippy at heart.
Thanks for doing the employment dance for me.
I love the yellow submarine shirt! I also love the amount of people that came in Cincinnati because of WKRP in Cincinnati when it wasn't even filmed there :)
I love vintage style clothing. I was all about the maxi dress this summer. Oh, I also bought designing women season 1 on dvd. Season 2 comes out on the 11th...just thought I'd share that info haha.
I LOVE Designing Women. It's seriously one of my favorite shows of all time. My dream is to be a healthy mix of Julia and Suzanne Sugarbaker!
Oh and I've been meaning to tell you, I would gladly trade places with you...you can visit all the National Parks and I'll gladly go to Italy! Being posted in Europe is our dream, I'm really hoping we can get there some day!
Yeah, my husband and I were totally born in the wrong decade. We should have been married in the 50s. Or even the 40s.
I used to love watching Bewitched on Nick at Nite when I was younger
I loved pretty much everything that was on Nick @ Nite. Dragnet, Get Smart, I Dream of Jeannie, Gilligan's Island. Actually, I still love those shows. I think Golden Girls might be my favorite show right now. :)
I was 4 years old when the 80's ended but due to being the youngest, I was subjected to A LOT of 80's culture. Nothing really sticks out in non-cartoon TV, but The Smurfs, Fraggle Rock, Alf, and I think they were called The Snorks? (They lived under water and had little snorkles on their heads.) are some of my all time favorite shows to flash back to!
I loved Designing Women, too! The Golden Girls was another favorite, and I Love Lucy still cracks me up.
I am a vintage lover myself :) But I sure am glad to be living in 2009... I do very much enjoy fast internet and cell phones!

Oh I LOVE designing women. Really I could watch them all over and over on a continual loop much to my husbands dismay. And Perfect Strangers, Who's the Boss, Family Ties... sigh. what's happened to nick at night, when is it our generations turn?
I was born in 1972, and my parents divorced in 1980, so for me the 70's were an extremely happy time. I remember the clothing styles, and my mom was so hip and pretty and stylish. I love watching Charlie's Angels, it totally reminds me of that happy time in my life. I also loved Three's Company, Dallas, Dukes of Hazard, gosh I could go on and on.
I loved watching re-runs of Get Smart with my dad growing up. I think it was on Nick at Nite, but I'm not sure.
Also -- I received the book in the mail this weekend. Thank you!
Saturday Night Fever is such a fun movie! Travolta had some hot dance moves! The 70's would have been such a fun decade! I would be sportin' some bell bottoms for sure! Fav shows: all the ones you mentioned, Golden Girls, and as a kiddo I LOVED Mr. Ed on Nick At Night!
Little house on the Prairie!!! Ohmygosh my Mother and I loved that show!
I loved Bewitched, Cheers and I Dream of Jeanie, along with Lucy!!!
And I love the second shirt!! I would totally buy it!
That second shirt is so cute!
I LOVED Bewitched :)
I miss old school Nick at Night. All the stuff they have on now was in first-run during my childhood - I am NOT that old!
I'm borderline obsessed with the 60's and 70's too. Do you watch the show Mad Men? If not you should, you'd love it I think!
I LOVE all of those shows. Well, almost all. I never watched Cheers really. And that shirt is super cute! Gotta love some of the vintage stuff... it can be so much fun!
so, google reader doesn't like to show your whole post, so i'm way behind...i loved dr. quinn. i was completely obsessed with the old west, and even have several bonnets i would dress up with.
