Let's Talk About: Meal Plans
Sean and I are wanting to start planning our meals, but really don't know where to start. I know a lot of you out there do meal planning so I'd like to hear your comments and suggestions and what works for you.Maybe even some websites that you use frequently for recipes.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I Need HELP!
I need help from any of you tech savvy, computer types out there.
Here's the situation.
I uploaded my Rome pictures to my computer and then later copied them over to my external hard drive. Since they were safely on my external, I sent the original folder to the Recycle Bin and then emptied the bin.
My external hard drive is acting up and now half of my Rome pictures are corrupted. Specifically my Colosseum pictures. I'm not so concerned about just the pics of the Colosseum, but I am VERY upset that the pictures I have with my family are now corrupted.
I've done several recovery searches, but no luck. I KNOW these pictures have to be on here somewhere, I just don't know where to look.
Please, please tell me you can help me!

Friday Fill-In
Since I'm currently having blog-block and working on editing pictures I jumped on the chance to do these military themed questions by Wife of a Sailor.
1.How did you and your spouse/significant other meet?
MySpace. It's always interesting to see people's reactions when I tell them that. If you want the full story, go here.
2.What is the best thing about being a MilSpouse?
The travel opportunities. Although I saw a lot of the U.S. before I married Sean, I'd never lived in another state and certaintly never expected to live in Europe. In the three years I've been an Army wife I've seen places that I never expected to see so early in my lifetime. For that I am very grateful.
3.What is the hardest thing about being a MilSpouse?
The ever-changing schedule and never knowing if something is set in stone. That is my biggest pet peeve with the military!
4.What is your favorite dish?
I live to eat so that's a very hard question. I'm going to go with enchiladas. Love them!
5.If you could change one thing in this world, what would it be?
The lack of empathy and understanding that people exhibit towards each other, sometimes it's quite dishearting to see that.
Oh..and here's a sneak peek of upcoming Greece pictures!

Rome
Before our cruise, my family, their friends and I decided to go to Rome for two days. We flew Easy Jet from Venice to Rome and then checked in to the awesome place we stayed. Seriously, if any of you go to Rome in the future, email me and I will give you the details for the place we stayed. It was affordable (70 euro a night) which included a ton of stuff and it was very close to the Metro. I will be staying there again when I go back to Rome.
Anyway..the first day we went to the Vatican Museum and St. Peter's Basilica.
Can I just say that the Vatican Museum is awesome, but my feet and back were killing me by the time we finished because it was so expansive and I walked so much.
Outside of the Vatican Museum
The Sistine Chapel was awe-inspiring, but being the rule-abider that I am, I didn't sneak any pictures when I was inside it.
Also, they were having some sort of special ceremony for priests, in which the Pope was going to make an appearance, so the entrance to St. Peter's was closed after a certain time. So..I only have pictures from the outside. Obviously I have to go back to Rome sometime soon so I can see the inside of the Basilica.

We went to the Spanish Steps that night. This is me, my mom and her friend.
The Trevi Fountain
The second day we visited the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill. I was most impressed with the Colosseum. It was amazing to see in person!
I believe this is remnants of the house of Vestal Virgins, part of the Roman Forum.
I really did enjoy Rome a lot and there were a ton of things I didn't get to see, even though we did go see a lot. Hopefully Sean and I can go back soon, since he's never been to Rome.
This was kind of an abbreviated picture post about Rome, but I have so many pictures and have barely started editing them. If I get some more done, I'll have to do another post one of these days.

I Don't Get It
So, tonight in random boredom I decided to watch some Lady Gaga videos. Can I just say that I don't really get her videos?
The latest one, Alejandro...I just can't wrap my mind around or even figure out the meaning behind it. Maybe I'm just really dense? Or maybe I had too many glasses of wine at dinner and it's hampering my thought process. At any rate....the video just confuses me. It's like an old school Madonna video re-visted with weird Lady Gaga vibes.
P.S. I'm still working on Rome pictures. Hopefully they will be up tomorrow!

I'm Back....
I'm officially back from my vacation!
We actually got back in Italy on Saturday morning, but we spent the morning in Venice and then went to Florence yesterday, so this has really been my first free day since getting off the cruise.
The cruise was faboulous! I had such a good time with my family and then only thing that would have made it better is if Sean has been able to come with us. I loved Greece the most and would LOVE to go back there for an extended stay.
From going to Rome and the cruise I have around 1000 pictures, don't worry, I won't subject all of you to every single picture. However, I'm sure once I get some edited I'll be putting some on here and the rest on my Facebook.
I've missed blogging and I'm going to do my best to catch up on what all of you have been doing since I've been gone.

Off to the Eternal City
Tomorrow I'm off to Rome with my brother, parents and two of their friends. Somehow I've lived in Italy for almost a year and a half and have yet to go to Rome. Don't as me how that happens. I've been to all the other major cities but Rome, but tomorrow I'm rectifying that.
Unfortunately for my visitors they started off their trip with a delay, a re-routed flight and five of their six bags didn't make it to Venice. Hopefully, the bags will be there tomorrow when we get to the airport.
Anyway, I'm sure I'll have tons of pics and stories, but I'm thinking they might have to wait until I get back from the cruise.

Did Anyone See This?!
I'm a few days late on this, but I just watched the MTV Movie Awards yesterday.
Did anyone catch the Tom Cruise and JLO dance number? I found it funny, yet incredibly awkward at the same time. Sean and I literally were silent and then looked over at each other like, "What is going on here?" I'd like to know who brainstormed at MTV to come up with that combo.
Did you see it? Thoughts?

What's Going On...
I just wanted to do a little update on what's been going on around our casa and also to let you know I'll be MIA off and on for the next two weeks.
Sean is back home from Germany. He's still in pain and will be doing a few rounds of shots in his back and then most likely surgery. We're not sure exactly when this will happen. It's good to have him home though. I feel guilty, considering all my wives and lot of you ladies out in blog land still have deployed loved ones, but I do cherish the fact I have him home.
I have visitors coming from the States this week and so I'll be out and about with them for the next couple of weeks. We are doing Rome, then our Greek cruise, Florence and then Innsbruck. I have to admit I'm most excited about the cruise. We're going to Croatia, Turkey and two Greek islands. *squee*
Last, but not least, I know I have some new followers. Please, please let me know what your blog URL is so I can add it to my list! I love meeting new bloggers, so please feel free to speak up or email me!

Word to the Wise
Just a little PSA for you. NEVER, EVER buy a Chevy Cobalt.
My family is a Chevy family, we buy nothing else, however, I told my Dad a few weeks ago that I will never buy a new Chevy from a dealership again.
For starters, my car was recalled for the power steering that keeps going out. My car has had this problem for 6 months and I'm STILL waiting on the recall for my year so that I can FINALLY get this car fixed.
Currently there is something wrong with our wheel bearings/CV joints and our car seriously is so loud that it vibrates me when I'm driving. I'm scared to drive it right now. It's to the point where Sean and I are looking into renting a car because we are afraid the car will break down on us.
Because we are overseas driving an American brand of car, we are looking at parts taking at least a month to get to us.
At this point, I'm really considering taking either a sledghammer or a torch to my car. I haven't decided which yet.
So..for your sake. Listen to me and never buy a Cobalt. It's just not worth it!

Little Announcement
Last week, I got an e-mail that I wanted to share with you guys about some opportunities for spouses.
First of all, if any of you out there know a military wife who is a breast cancer survivor, please e-mail me (my address is on the sidebar) and I will email you the contact information that the casting director sent me. Evidently Liftime is wanting to do a piece on a military wife who is also a breast cancer survivor.
Secondly, if any of you military gals are stationed or live in North or South Carolina or Georgia and want to be an extra on the show Army Wives while it films in Charleston, SC, let me know and I'll pass along that info to you as well.
