Today I did my first Crossfit workout, I needed to switch up my workout routine a bit and so I called on my good friend Sara for her advice. At the time I really felt like my time was slow and I pretty much sucked at Crossfit, but I really felt good after it and for such a short time of working out..it felt really intense. I think Crossfit and I are going to start a new relationship.
Last week I painted my nails red and liked it so much that I told Sean I was going to make red nails my signature. Yeah....I'm already tired of them. Call me fickle.
I was browsing over at Old Navy today and they have the cutest outfit combos on there. Some of the items I posted a few weeks ago, but I didn't come up with the combos like they have.

I've been reading Bill Bryson's Walk In The Woods. If you haven't read it you should. I have laughed so hard reading it. Basically it's about the author hiking the Applachian Trail. One of these days I'd actually like to hike the Appalachian Trail, I'm not sure when that's going to happen though.
Ha! I'm that way about "signature" things, too....except my hair. I'm pretty sure my hair will always be some shade or tint of red. I have a love affair with red hair - even though it's totally not natural! But that's one of the main reasons I would never get a tattoo - no matter what I got, I know I'd get bored with it or wind up not liking it later.
ReplyDeleteBTW, you might want to stop by my blog today ;)
Fun fun :) I need to quit destroying my nails so that I can paint them cute colors!
ReplyDeleteI have nothing but reds in my collection, really. But my new fav fall colors? Chocolate brown and a deep plum. Love it.
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed crossfit. Wish I could train you. I've got a bit of Jillian in me though.
If you ever hike the trail let me know. I don't live too far off of it and I'll let you crash on my couch!
ReplyDeleteI loved A Walk in the Woods! It was such a great book!
ReplyDeleteI don't really have a "signature" thing either, but I do paint my toenails red almost all the time. Mostly because I wear sandals all the time to work, but also because red makes me smile. :)
I've heard great things about cross fit. I might have to check it out. Let me know how it goes!
ReplyDeleteFirst rule of blogging about CrossFit is that you must blog the workout!! :-p Yes, I am just kidding (maybe). :-D
ReplyDelete@Sara - I have a feeling you have a whole lotta Jillian in you, but I'll have to meet you in person to be sure. :-p
I love A Walk In The Woods! It's one of my favourite books because it never fails to make me smile. I once made the mistake of reading it on a plane and laughed so much the guy next to me actually asked me to be quiet...
ReplyDeleteI got to walk along a few yards of the Appalachian trail on my most recent holiday and couldn't help but think of Katz throwing stuff out of his pack.
Just yesterday, I ordered 2 things from that page on ON. Well, more than 2 things of course, but those outfits they show caught my eye.
ReplyDeleteI loved A Walk in the Woods, too! Since I hate camping, it was a great way to see it through his experience.
That book sounds great, I'll have to pick it up. I've been looking for a new book lately...
