That was the random message I had in my Facebook inbox this morning from some random Canadian dude.
Here's my reply, "I'm kind of married and you're kind of rude. Don't contact me again."
Boo yah! Take that creepy Canadian man.
So, I'm ready to share my fab Chicken Salad recipe with you, which I did not make last night since Sean requested Pioneer Woman's amazing Marlboro Man sandwich (which we both love) so...it appears I might be making chicken salad tonight for those at the USO.
Chicken Salad
4 cups cubed, cooked chicken meat (my friend boiled the chicken and then cut it up)
1 cup mayo
1 teaspoon paprika
1 and a half cups dried cranberries
1 cup chopped celery
1 cubed apple
1 cup sliced grapes
2 green onions, chopped
1 cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
Black pepper to taste
In a medium bowl, mix together mayo with paprika and seasoned salt. Blend in dried cranberries, celery, onion, nuts, apple and grapes and chicken.
Now, I don't remember her adding black pepper, but this is fab. It's ten times better if you let it sit over night too. Trust me, this is one chicken salad you don't want to miss out on.
Sean left bright and early this morning for Germany and as soon as I got home it was back to bed for me. Wouldn't you know that there were two guys that decided to drill something in all the concrete barriers outside our apartments today. I'm pretty sure in my sleep induced anger I smacked the wall and yelled out, "Basta!" (which is Italian for enough) but I'm pretty sure they didn't hear that and even if they did that wasn't going to stop them.
Ciao!
As someone who is friends with you on facebook, I can verify that you are not "kinda" hot, you are totally hot! Everyone knows Canadians have bad eye sight. Except for Becca. :-)
ReplyDeleteHey i know the feeling the past two weeks we have herd beeps and trees falling behind our apartment. Not what I wanted my morning alarm to sound like and did not want to hear it at 6 either!
ReplyDeleteI have never been a big chicken salad fan, but this actually sounds good! I might have to try it. Now if I could only get my husband to try it!
ReplyDeleteI wish you could come get your haircut too! Who knows maybe we could schedule something when I make my way to Italy ;)
I sent you an email!
I've never gotten one of those on Facebook! That's a typical myspace message for me, however! It's so obnoxious...creepers.
ReplyDeleteWay to yell to the native tongue ;)
Sounds yummy! I loved your response back to him.
ReplyDeleteYou are a riot :) I love your facebook response and the fact that you are now yelling in Italian :)
ReplyDeleteSounds yummy! Thanks for the recipe.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get better sleep tomorrow morning :)
Haha creepy Canadian. I would have probably said "So first off, I'm married. Second off, you're a creeper. And third, if you're going to attempt to give me a "compliment", give it to me ALL the way. Don't say I'm "kinda" hot. Say I'm "freaking" hot. Got it? Now, don't contact me ever again you creepo."
ReplyDeletelol Sorry you didn't get much sleep! I'm glad you explained what "Basta!" meant-- I automatically assumed you were calling them a not-nice name!
Ok I will be trying this this weekend! Sounds yummy!
ReplyDeleteYes, creepy. And this is a recipe I can do! YAY!
ReplyDeleteI love chicken salad! I'll give this recipe a go... I think I'll BBQ my chicken and then cube it up :) YUM!
ReplyDelete-Andrea
Haha, wow! Some people are so skanky and inappropriate. You're response made me laugh though!
ReplyDeleteHaha that is too funny! Not only are you yelling half sleep but in Italian nonetheless!
ReplyDeleteHe was from canada?? Oh no! All the people up there were super sweet. Except of course I was always visually with my hubby. :)
ReplyDeleteYummmmmmmo recipe!!
What a creep. I don't understand what people think they'll get from that situation!
ReplyDeletePS - I kind of LOVE chicken salad, so I'll have to try this out :)
Love this salad!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed coffee with you this morning.
