In Love With Lemons

Ever since I was a kid I've loved lemonade. Sometimes I'll suck on a half of lemon just because I think it's tasty. In fact, about a month ago I had a dream in which I was ridiculously thirsty for lemonade and all throughout the dream I thought about how I could get my hands on some lemonade. I also enjoyed some lemon gelato today at lunch, which of course is my favorite flavor of gelato. To say I'm obsessed with lemons/lemonade is putting it mildly.

I've found some recipes that involve lemonds/lemonade and with spring here and summer around the corner, I can't wait to try them!

First up, the Neelys Frozen Lemonade Pie

Champagne Lemonade

Emeril's Strawberry Lemonade

Anyone have any other lemon/lemonade recipes they'd like to share?

  5. Ditto! I made lemon cupcakes the other day (from a box mix) and they were quite tasty! I'm hoping to try making them again soon, but this time by modifying this recipe to use lemon instead of lime:

  6. I adore lemon flavored things!! Unfortunately, the husband loathes them so I don't tend to bake as much as I would like to. Mmm lemon bars. Lemonade cupcakes. Lemon pie!

I just tried the new lemon flavor of Chobani greek yogurt. That stuff is awesome!

  8. We had a lemon tree in the backyard, and I used to love it when my dad would decide to make lemonade. Of course it was never sweet enough for me, so I'd always have to add an extra spoonful of sugar or two!

  9. I love Lemons and Limes. I grew up sucking on a lime or a leomon whichever was handy at family gatherings. We always had some with our latino food gatherings. I have pictures of myself as a kid with a big lemon wedge in my mouth smiling for the camera lol.

Anywho I don't know many recipes as lemon as the star. But the first thing that popped into my mind was..

Limoncello!!! Have you had some? I sure hope you have. Limoncello is awesome. It was my first Italian drink/shot literally the night we got here lol.

But I have read that Limoncello isn't to difficult to make at home.

  10. Im not a lemon fan but thanks to lemon's that's how I met my best friend 18 years ago. My grandparents used to have a HUGE lemon tree in the backyard and it was my chore to pick up the rotten lemons that fell and clear up under the tree. In a day of laziness, I threw the rotten lemons over the fence and hit her in the head.
