Question of the Day

Because I went to the last day of Carnevale and braved the crowds, flying elbows (I know I'm going to have bruises on my arms) and because I have a horrible headache, I'm going to do a Question of the Day.

What is your favorite go-to recipe? If you want you can post the recipe, if not, just post the name.

  1. Debate BBQ sandwiches...the article it was in said they were called 'debate' bbq sandwiches b/c the lady would make them and sell them to pay for her kid's travel to debate competitions. Anywho---they are amazing.

  3. Tortilla Soup, this recipe is insanely simple, makes a lot & tastes really good. You can always substitute fresh ingredients instead of canned as well:

  4. Hands down, Tyler Florence's Chicken Paillard! Sometimes I make it with the salad, sometimes I serve it with mashed potatoes and roasted veggies... always serve it with wedges of lemon! Yum.

1 box (7 oz) Success Rice (2 bags)
    6 bell peppers
    1 lb sweet Italian sausage
2 cans (10 oz each) Ro*Tel Diced Tomatoes and Green Chilies
2 cups (8 oz) shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Preheat oven to 350F. Prepare rice according to package directions. Meanwhile, remove tops and seeds from peppers. Blanch peppers in boiling water for 5 minutes; drain. Remove sausage from casing. Crumble meat into 5-qt saucepot. Cook over medium heat, stirring, until browned; drain. Stir in rice, Ro*Tel and cheese. Spoon filling into peppers; place in 8x8x2-inch baking dish. Bake 20 minutes

  8. Taco Soup with or without meat. Throwing everything in the crockpot is way too simple. Or any kind of pasta. We eat a lot of pasta around here because it's the fastest, easiest, and tastiest thing to whip up.
