Shopping Spree and a Recipe

I generously received some money for a Christmas present this year and since I'm seriously lacking in winter clothing, I decided to treat myself with some new clothes. (Next month I'm going online shopping at Sephora. That could be disastorous)

Anyway, my goal was to get as much as possible with the money I had. I decided to forgo well-made pieces and decided instead on Old Navy. Nothing against Old Navy, but I don't think that anything I bought yesterday will be around ten years from now in my closet.

Here are a few items I picked up:

I'm a huge fan of green and I think if this litle number is long enough I can pair it with some cute leggings. Otherwise I think it'll look cute with pants and boots.

I'm seriously hurting for some cardigans. I love the detailing on this and decided to take a chance on it.

A comfy Henley shirt. Can we say heaven? I loved this style so much that I got it in two different colors.

Last, but not least. How cute are these sneakers? I love the color and I think they'll be super cute with some jeans and a t-shirt.

Oh, and I was asked about my Mexican Pinwheel recipe the other day. It's delish! Serve with salsa if you like.

8oz sour cream
8oz cream cheese
1/2 chopped green onions
1 sm can chopped green chilies
1 sm can chopped black olives
1 cup shredded cheese
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp seasoned salt

Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl, spread evenly on five 10 inch flour tortillas. Roll each roll in plastic wrap, chill overnight. Cut in 3/4 inch pieces.

Also, when you spread the stuff on the tortillas, make it into a square sort of shape where you don't go all the way to each edge (horizontally).

  1. I always love the clothes you pick! BTW I got the Pioneer Women's cookbook....so good! I just copied down your recipe because the hubby read it and said it sounded good!

  3. It seems yummy but I am highly disappointed that you didn't provide a picture. :)

Also, Old Navy's clothing quality has DRASTICALLY gone down hill. However, I still have a sweater I bought my senior year of high school with Christmas money. I bought it December 2001 while breaking up with my then boyfriend via my friend's cell phone because I wanted to be single on New Year's Eve. LOL

What is all on your list for Sephora? I really want to try some of the NYX eye shawdow she's recommended but Tarjay doesn't carry it here. :( Also, I did not know until last week - maybe you did - you're supposed to exfoliate your lips?

And lastly, I don't know if they ship internationally, but you should check out Down East Basics also for cardis. They have uber cute ones.

Gawsh. That could've been a private message.

  6. That first top from old navy is great. I just got a few in the mail yesterday. I am loving the length on them and they are actually not as thin as most of the tshirts old navy has put out lately. Good buy!

I normally rather buy a couple pieces at old navy veruses 1 shirt for liek 50 bucks. No thank you. Every once in a while I will spend a little more on a certain item. But I am with you on getting the most for you buck most of the time.

Good picks! I want that cardi.
