An Interesting Day

First of all I'd like to bring to your attention the fact that a Sal Giunta, a solider from the 173rd Brigade is being awarded the Medal of Honor today in Washington D.C. We weren't here for the last deployment, but I've heard a lot about the courageous actions of Sal. Click here for an article.

Secondly, I was offered my old position at the USO today. I have mixed feelings about it. I wouldn't mind working there again because I enjoyed it(when I had a good boss) and I liked the extra money, but I only have a year left in Europe and I'd like to see as much as possible, without having to worry about work. Also, the job caused a few issues with Sean and I, so I'm not really sure it would be good to go back to it. I told the new manager (who is a good friend) that I'd think about it, but I wasn't sure I'd take it and quite honestly I'm not even sure USO Europe would hire me back after I quit without two weeks notice. For a little background on that whole story, click here. So, I guess we'll see where this goes.

  6. Don't worry about working when you only have a year left! You guys have seemed to get along fine without you working, so why bother? Go explore, you may not get the chance to ever do something like this again!
