The fitness bandwagon that is. Ever since I ran my 5K, I've been awful about working out. I just had no motivation. I'm not sure where it comes from, but I get in these fitness funks about once a year where I don't work out for about a month and just can't make myself do anything.
Thankfully the scale hasn't moved that much, but I feel like crap and I know it's because I haven't been working out, plus I've been eating badly.
So today I've designated Jump Back on the Fitness Bandwagon Day and I've stuck to it. I went and ran at the track and I haven't eaten anything terribly unhealthy today. I even made some pumpkin spice granola today. It smelled AMAZING.
Sean is gone for a week to Germany for some doctor's appointments so I've got lots of time on my hands. Hopefully that time will also include some working out and healthy meals. I have butternut squash soup, individual spinach lasagna roll-ups and coconut curry shrimp on the menu this coming week, so I think I should be good.
Other than that I plan on watching old movies like Casablanca, some Gilmore Girls and working on my college scrapbook. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm ever going to get it finished.
Can I come over for dinner? Those recipes sound great!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are back on the bandwagon!
Oh... I have those exact same fitness ruts that pop up once or twice a year. Good for you for getting out and trying to fend it off! I just got back on my bandwagon yesterday. My "birthday week" slacking turned into "birthday three weeks". Ugh.
ReplyDeleteGood luck lady :) Maybe I'll catch some of your motivation because I have ZERO... boo. :(
ReplyDeleteGilmore Girls=one of my obsessions! I started back on the eat right/workout bandwagon today! I had lost 5 lbs the first few days J was gone and then we all got sick and I gained 2 back so I'm back to wanting to drop 8 lbs before J gets home in a few week eek!
ReplyDeleteWay too go chickadee!! It took me weeks to get back on the bandwagon.
