Dear Deployment...

You can suck it, seriously.

Today is one of those days, where I've had it with deployments. I've had it with my husband being gone, with crappy phones in Afghanistan, with being alone to take care of stupid things like car repairs and without someone to cook me a sizzling steak and the best baked potato I've ever had.

I'm so frustrated and stressed about Sean's back and what this means for us. I have no idea when he's going to Germany or if his back is bad enough that they will send him to Walter Reed. I don't know if this will be the end of our time in the Army, if they'll let him re-class or if we'll be starting all over in the coming years with a new life that is not the Army. If I could know, even one little detail, I'd feel so much better.

I'm trying to medicate with talking to my mom, some chocolate and the next Sookie Stackhouse book.

Let's hope they work!

  2. All the questions without any answers is the worst. I'm hoping you hear something soon. And until then, I hope the self-medicating works! I know how hard it is to not think about it, but I hope you find a good distraction soon!

  5. Deployments do suck! Open a bottle of wine or a pint of Ben & Jerry's and remind yourself that you are waaaaay tougher than this man's military. And if you figure out how to get the car serviced without being ripped off - let me know, I have to take ours in next month!

  11. I hope everything turns out good. On the back issues, we are dealing with similar same thing. Hub had back injury at work long time ago and a major back surgery six years ago but we are still wondering what will happen next, will they let him stay or not... guess there is no end to our worries.
Everything will look much better tomorrow... so go out today and cheer your self with coffee or gelato or a new purse. LOL
