Do you find it odd when girls at the gym have full make-up, coiffed hair and wear skirts to work out in? Might I also add it was not a running skirt (which I find super cute) but some sort of fitness skirt that showed her undies to the world while she was on the weight bench.
Thoughts?
*Edited to add* This was at 9:00 this morning. So no day at work before coming to the gym. I mean, that I could fully understand.
In a word, YES!
ReplyDeleteActually, now that I've thought about it for a minute maybe the girls are coming right from work and haven't taken the time to remove their make up and see no reason to change their hair?
ReplyDeletefull make up...mmmaaaaayyybbeee....the skirt...thats weird!
ReplyDeleteHaha! I sometimes wear my makeup to the gym if I go right after work. I have this weird thing about using the locker rooms at the gym, they gross me out.
ReplyDeletei can understand the make-up thing IF they are coming from work. but who wants to see someone else's undies.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she was just there trying to pick up some guys? HA. You'd never catch me in a skirt at the gym.
ReplyDeleteI would think it is bad for your skin to work out in full make-up. I don't get it! She was probably trying to meet guys.
ReplyDeleteit annoys me sooooo much when girls do that. I especially hate it when they wear perfume in there, too.
ReplyDeleteOne time I saw a girl in full make-up, hair with teased volume I can only dream off, Daisy Dukes and Uggs! No lie. Now, I don't take off my makeup to go to the gym, if it's after work or something like that, that's no big deal.
ReplyDeleteFrankly, I think it's amazing how few women show up to the gym looking like that, at least our gym, one with mirrors on all the walls, where it's obvious the selling point of the gym isn't being healthy but looking good. I should stop here before I get on my soapbox!
I don't understand that at all!
ReplyDeleteI was gonna say that I normally have on makeup but that is because I go when Deaner gets off work. I do not however wear skirts to the gym. Ever. And I believe skirts should only be worn when playing tennis! :) Hope all is well!
ReplyDeleteI don't get any of it! I mean, you look weird wearing full makeup while you are working out...and the skirt is just plain weird. If it was a running skirt, okay I get that, but not a regular one.
ReplyDeleteewwww, especially to the undies showing!
ReplyDeleteHey I live in Vegas. I have to work out with all the strippers who come to the gym pretty much naked. It drives me crazy! I hate it!
ReplyDeleteIt really makes me want to smack them. BTW, I emailed you this weekend, did you get it?
Yeah, I used to get comments for having makeup on at the gym, but hell it was a full day at work. What was I supposed to do? Wash my face for a workout? That seems just as high maintenance. But I don't understand putting on makeup just for the gym. Then again, I also don't understand workout outfits. Especially the skirts/skorts). My thought is that I'm there to workout not do a fashion show. I want to be comfortable, and I don't give a crap if my sweaty self looks unfashionable.
ReplyDeleteDid I tell you about the girl who was texting while using a weight machine? And did 4 light reps. Stopped for appox. 5 minutes and then moved to a new machine?
These are the women I snear at when I am working out. They are the reason I do not like going to the gym (although I do go still)... I am one of those chicks with pit stains, huffing and puffing and the girl next to me makes it look like a ballet... GRRR
ReplyDeleteSo odd! I look at these women and think, "Are you here trying to pick up guys?"
ReplyDeleteUgh!!!
ReplyDeleteThere were girls at my college you would wear make-up and tiny little spandex shorts and spend an hour of the stair master on at the gym. I mean really? You have to be hoping for guys to notice you at that point
ReplyDeleteYeah, no, I never workout in makeup or with my hair done. I do own a running skirt, but that's about it. Haven't actually worked out in it yet though. Just worn it when it was friggin hot here!
ReplyDeleteI don't really wear enough make-up to wash off after work, but on the few occassions where I have worn it - I rinse it off before working out. I might leave the eye makeup because I don't want to look like I have a black-eye, but that's it.
ReplyDeleteAs for the skirt...well....if there weren't weird people in world we wouldn't appreciate the sane ones.
I have something for you over at my blog!
ReplyDeleteuhh.. YES! yes I do.
