Thursday Tidbits

Thanks everyone for your feedback yesterday, I'm sure I'll be asking you plenty of more questions in the future.

Boomer has been cracking me up lately. We have tons of lizards around here and he is intent on catching one. He's come close a copule of times, but has yet to nab one. Watching him go after them is priceless.

Go visit Kebi over at Hanging By a Thread! She's giving away some awesome Sanuk sandals and you don't want to miss out!

I started watching the first season of True Blood last night. I'm already hooked and I've seriously seen one episode. Sean has watched more of the first season and told me he wasn't sure I would like it. Wrong! Love it. Although Anna Paquin's attempt at a Southern accent could be better.

Sean and I went out to dinner last night and midway through dinner he started breaking out in hives. We're pretty positive it was the pink sauce (salsa rosa) they served with the shrimp, because he is not allergic to shellfish, but has had that happen while eating Thousand Island dressing before. He apologized for making it a short dinner experience, but you can't really blame him for that. It's not like he tried to get hives. Besides, I still got to enjoy my shrimp risotto.

We are considering a short trip to Venice on Saturday. I have a few things I want to pick up there. 1. An animal Carnival mask 2. An item or two for my upcoming giveaway and 3. Sean still wants to eat at Hard Rock. Sometimes it feels weird to say, "Hey, let's go to Venice for a few hours."

  1. we just finished season 1 of true blood! we LOVED it! but i agree with you about the southern accent. i mean, it's possible she's doing a decent interpretation of a Louisiana accent, and since i'm from Georgia i just think it sounds weird because i'm used to a Georgia southern accent. who knows.

  2. Breaking out into hives can be pretty scary! I'm glad it wasn't too serious. My mom's allergy doctor told her that they can test you for food allergies now just by taking some blood and running some labs. Pretty easy.
Have a good time in Venice, you lucky duck!

  5. No actor can get a real southern accent unless they're from the south. I mean, those people think we're all dumb hicks with banjos, so that's what they try to sound like, not like Scarlett O'Hara.

Go to Venice...I'm excited cause we're going to Tulsa in a couple of weeks, and Tulsa is lame, even without Venice to compare it to!

  8. I wonder what he is actually allergic to in the sauce. It seems like such a weird allergy to have. Although my boyfriend is allergic to onions, so that has made for some interesting restaurant experiences.

  9. But how fun is it to tell people you are going to Venice for the day :) I enjoying saying, "I hopped over to France to get some wine." :)

  11. We were thinking about zipping over to Venice this weekend too, but the forecast is calling for rain. We might chance it anyway. I signed the kids up for a YS camp next week and they are going to Gardaland and Venice. They may get to visit Venice before I do!
