So I finished the last Twilight series bok yesterday. Survey says? Twilight was ok, but I have to say I prefer Harry Potter. It just seemed like Twlight got redundant after awhile and I thought the last book, Breaking Dawn was way out there. I'm sure there are a ton of people who disagree with me, but that's just my two cents.
Next up? I Love a Man in Uniform by Lily Burana. She's a journalist who used to be an exotic dancer and married an Army officer. It looks to be a good read.
Can I just say I love this shirt? Plus it's totally appropriate for the country I live in.
Don't even ask where I found it, because if you know me then you already know.
So...Sean and I are trying to eat healthier, which means lots of salads for us. Any great salad suggestions?
One last thing, go check out Steph's giveaway. You won't be disappointed.
Gotta love Forever 21! I'm afraid to tell you that we're sporting the same shirt! Haha
ReplyDeleteAlso I agree with you on the last twilight book. It was just wayyy out there. I do like the 2nd book the most though.
You already know how I felt about the Twilight books. You and me going to NOLA listening to that audiobook and groaning. I pretty much felt that way throughout. I think they would have been better if they were shorter. And very redundant.
ReplyDeleteOh I have a great salad suggestion. I just discovered it this summer and I have been loving it! And best of all there is no chopping. First, pre-heat oven to 425. Put cherry tomatoes or grape tomatoes in baking dish, drizzle with olive oil and salt and pepper. Roast 10-15 min. Place salad greens on plate. Drain and risne one can of cannellini beans and arrange those over the greens. Add some pine nuts and some goat cheese or ricatta cheese. To make dressing wisk 2Tb olive oil, 2 Tb balsamic vinegar and 1 tsp dijon mustard, salt and pepper. When tomatoes are done put them on the salad and dress. It's also really good to roast red onions and place them on a salad with pecans, goat cheese, and dried cranberries.
ReplyDeleteI agree about Twilight. I loved the first book, and after that it just kept going downhill until the totally anti-climactic ending. But whatev. :) HP is way better.
ReplyDeleteCute T, as usual. I should hire you as my personal shopper. You know, if I had a job and money and all that ;)
One of our favorites is spinach with sliced strawberries and goat cheese. No dressing necessary!
ReplyDeleteOh, that book looks good! Thanks for sharing! :o)
ReplyDeleteI love salads! I always mix ice burg lettuce with spinach or kale. The ice burg helps with the actually spearing of the salad and the other are actually healthy, so it's like form and function! I cut up brocolli, yellow bell pepper, and cucumber. Sometimes I sautee a chicken tender in olive oil until golden, slice, and layer over the salad.
ReplyDeleteHmm. Your new book looks good, I'll have to go add it to my Amazon wish list!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. The Twilight books aren't as good as I thought they would be.
ReplyDeleteCute F21 shirt! :)
Such a cute shirt!!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Let me guess, the shirt is from Target? No? Gap? No? Oh I just can't figure it out! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that shirt!!! How fun.
ReplyDeleteand we're doing the same.... lots of salad. They have great salad spritzers from Wishbone (I think) also Paul Newman's balsamic dressing is out of this world. We add chicken to ours (you should be able to buy it at the commissary in the meat isle, already precooked grilled chicken for salads. Yum! I also add red peppers and cucumbers.
Thanks for posting about our giveaway ;)
LOVE Harry Potter ... Right now I'm reading Pretty in Plaid and I'm loving that too!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite salad dressing: 2 parts balsamic vinegar to 3 parts olive oil with a dash of Wostershire sauce.
I always make simple salads with tomatoes, cucumber, feta cheese and olives or capers.
So do you have a page where all your photography is displayed? Like a Flickr or something?
ReplyDeleteUhhh.. you are all breaking my Twilight loving heart :( I loved every single minute of it! Moving on ;)
ReplyDeleteI would say that t-shirt is a necessity for you over there in Italy. I'm very excited to find that book and read it. Like VERY excited. And I'm not much help on the salads. I love em.. but i'm a very boring salad eater.
