I was watching The Bucket List at the USO recently and it got me thinking.
(For those that haven't seen the movie, basically two men that are dying make a list of everything they want to see/do before they die)
I started thinking about what would be on my Bucket List.
Here's mine so far.
1. See as many National Parks, Monuments, Memorials, Historic Sites as possible.
2. Spend a whole summer in the Grand Tetons
3. Sell one of my photographs for a decent amount of money
4. Buy an original Ansel Adams print
5. Meet a President
6. Visit 6 Continents (I'm not that jazzed about Antarctica, so I left it off)
7. Become a certified scuba diver
8. Learn how to sew...well
9. Take my Mom on a just us girls trip to NYC
10. See a Broadway show
11. Go to the top of the Statue of Liberty
12. Ride a mule into the Grand Canyon
13. Spend a year traveling all over the U.S. in an RV
14. Adopt another Min-Pin or two
15. Have an amazing garden
16. Buy a Greek Revival home
17. Spend the night at Oak Alley Plantation
18. Go on an African safari
19. Get my Masters in Library Science
20. Open my own photography business
21. Go on a cruise with my entire extended family
22. Have a belated honeymoon in Fiji
23. Buy a piece of movie memorabilia from Saturday Night Fever
What are some of the things on your Bucket List?
This is a great bucket list!
ReplyDeletenice list!
ReplyDeleteI should come up with a list of my own...
I love the one about traveling in an RV. I tell C all the time I would love to travel in an RV so he can drive, and I can watch TV in the back!
ReplyDeleteI loved this movie and thought about doing the same thing when I watched it. Your bucket list is a good one!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great bucket list. One of my things is to see the Pyramids.
ReplyDeleteI think everyone should have a bucket list. You have an awesome list! I would love to do some of those same things.
ReplyDeleteHave you heard of the 101 in 1001? It's a list of 101 goals for 1001 days and I have that on my blog. It's a good guide for shorter term goals.
One of the most recent things I added to my list is to own a Vespa. One of these days I'll have one!
ReplyDeleteMy list would have a ton of places I'd like to visit (China, Australia, Ireland, Costa Rica, etc).
ReplyDeleteI think I've told you this before (maybe..?) I love the Grand Tetons. Seriously, gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteI also completely second the "belated honeymoon in Fiji" :)
You should check out another fun idea if you like the idea of the bucket list. I'm obsessed with 101 in 1001. Basically it's a list of 101 things that are somewhat.. challenging, but achievable.. to do in 1001 days. You can read more here: http://www.dayzeroproject.com/
It's pretty incredible. I made it through about 75 items on my first list and I'm currently working on my second 1001! :)
I like your bucket list! I've been trying to work on one of my own. Mine has a lot of travel-related things on it, also--there is this hotel in Costa Rica where you stay in an old plane, I am determined to vacation there!
ReplyDeleteI'll go with you on a few of those things! I know you might not want me in Fiji but I'll come!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list and a great idea for us to all share what ours is!!
ReplyDeleteGreat list!
ReplyDeleteI made my own "bucket list" before the movie came out and have somehow lost it which makes me sad.. it'd be GREAT to randomly find it one day. In the meantime I've been meaning to make a new one. Some on my list were:
learn to play the piano. Visit Ireland. Eat in a restaurant (a real one.. not fast food) by myself
I have so many more.. maybe I'll do my own bucket list post!
Oooh good idea! Love your bucket list! Mine would probably involve a lot of traveling as well. African Safari sounds awesome!
ReplyDeleteIronically, at the top of my list: visit Italy!
ReplyDeleteWow, you're pretty ambitious! You better get moving girl!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great list!! I would definitely have several of the same things on mine!
ReplyDeleteI love your list! There are a lot of things on your list that would make mine too. Like visit national parks/monuments and historic places. And I reallllly want to see the Grand Tetons since you so highly recommended them. And travel across the US in an RV. =]
ReplyDeleteI have been reading your blog for a little while now and I am really enjoying it. Great bucket list! I'm feeling inspired to make my own.
ReplyDeleteI have never included the list on my blog... yet any ways, but here are a few of the things I have on mine... See Austrailia, Go to a NASCAR race (or TWO), Take a cruise, buy and learn to ride my own motorcycle.
ReplyDeleteLove your list!!!
I love Oak Alley! And can you actually spend the night there? Or is it more something you wish you could do. If you can spend the night there, then I definitely need to do that someday!
ReplyDeleteoh i haven't done one yet either, great list, so fun=)!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great list!!! But holy crap... all that travel in an RV would scare the pants off of me! I'm scared of RV's!!! :)
