I've never been looking forward to yet dreading one month so much in my life.
Obviously this month is going to be crazy busy, but in a good way.
T-Minus 11 days until we are out of the house.
T-Minus 36 days until we leave for Italy.
I'm so excited to go home and get to spend time with my friends and family. It's been about six months since I've seen most of them, minus my mom and dad.
Looks like Sean's Company Christmas party is this Friday. I thought it wasn't until after we left, but he informed this morning it was Friday. It's at the bowling alley, which I found a bit odd, but hey..whatever. It's been awhile since I've bowled so I'm sure it'll be fun. Let's just hope I don't do something like drop the bowling ball on my foot, we all know how accident-prone I've been lately.
Thank you to everyone who left kind words about my injury on the last post. I enjoyed reading them. I'm happy to say the thumb is feeling much better, but I'm still keeping the stiches covered. I don't want anything to hamper the healing of my thumb.
Sean and I had fun in Lake Charles on Saturday. We hit up our favorite sports bar where I enjoyed the most delicious Bloody Mary's and a shrimp frozia Po'Boy...which is just the best sandwhich ever. I also picked up some scrapbook stuff at Hobby Lobby and some Christmas cards. I let Sean pick out what Christmas cards he wanted and he picked....Thomas Kinkade. Um...I wasn't aware I was married to my grandma? I found it hilarious he picked those!
We ended up watching the OSU/OU game at Pappy's and it was so much fun. I was of course disappointed that my Cowboys lost to OU, but I thought for the most part they played really well against them. The only weird part of the night was when the husband of X couple showed up which was a bit odd. I mean I know he knew we were there, but I didn't expect him to drive over an hour to join us. He spent most of the night complaining about his failing marriage. Can we say awkward?
I'm off to lunch with Sara here in a few, but here's a few pics from this weekend.
Yes...I'm a little tipsy in this photo.
Boomer in his new fleece hoodie we bought him. Isn't he the cutest?
I was sad OSU lost, too. Even though I hate football. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you are moving to Italy in 36 days!!!!! Can I come visit?
Boomer is adorable! Lol about the Christmas cards! Shawn and I don't have the same tastes at all. He likes ugly things, and I like pretty things. He'd probably disagree about that statement, but that's how I see it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. I have been MIA lately...I know. We have family in town for Thanksgiving and will again for Xmas so my palate is really full!! Thanks for checking up on me.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe your move to Italy is coming up so soon! Sounds like you are enjoying your last weeks in LA!
ReplyDeleteWow what a busy month!
ReplyDeleteThomas Kinkade, huh? Did you ask him if he ate all of his prunes?
...I'm kidding. Mr. Newlywed has a weird fascination with Thomas Kinkade as well...it is a guy thing?
I read all about the adventures of the last few days! I'm so glad to know you are healing and not losing any body parts or anything :) I can't believe you will be moving to Italy. Even though I don't live close to you now, it still seems kind of weird to think about!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures!! You are too cute!
ReplyDeleteWow! You have been busy the last few days getting stitches and buying Thomas Kincade cards! How are those stitches doing now? I love Boomer's hoodie- ADORABLE!
ReplyDeleteWhat a busy month!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you're a busy girl! Glad the thumb is better! You look so cute in your picture!
ReplyDeleteDecember is going to be GREAT for you! I just know you are going to make the most of every opportunity!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy this time for all it's worth!
Glad the thumb is feeling better. That looked so painful!!

Man, I wish Boomer and Chester could play together. I bought him a sweater from Anthropologie a few seasons ago that he looks smashing in! (J says he looks gay. Whatev.)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait til you're bloggin' from Italy! Those will be so fun to read!
Loving the doggie hoody, and this part: "I let Sean pick out what Christmas cards he wanted and he picked....Thomas Kinkade. Um...I wasn't aware I was married to my grandma? I found it hilarious he picked those!" You are too funny sometimes, we definitely have the same sense of humor. :-D
ReplyDeleteTipsy yet you still can't take a bad picture. Well, today's "narrowed eyes, crooked smile" picture is pretty bad.
ReplyDeletewow, pretty soon your going to find yourself in a new place the way time flies!
ReplyDeletegood luck getting everything ready!
OSU :D
ReplyDeleteDecember is quite stressful for sure, but not everyone can say they got to move to Italy for Christmas :D
