Back to Normal

I'm happy to say that I am indeed back to my usual cheery self today. A big thank you to everyone who left encouraging words yesterday.

It's just Boomer and me for several hours today, as Sean is on funeral duty and had a funeral to do today, it's just the next town over so he should be back later today. So far on the agenda today I have cleaning up first. I've already started the laundry and I'm sure once I get done blogging I'll actually start on picking up around the house. Also today on my list would be tanning and working out. Working out I've sorely neglected this week and it's time I get my butt to the gym.

Sean and I watched 21 last night, has anyone seen that? I thought it was a decent movie, nothing to write home about. I can't wait until Sex and the City comes out on dvd. I missed seeing it in the theater and I'm snatching it up as soon as it is released!

Last night when we were watching the movie it started storming and it was so nice to be on the couch, just listening to the rain on the roof and the thunder in the background. It hasn't really rained here in over a month and so it was wonderful to get a nice hard rain for the better part of an hour. It's supposed to be back hot today though, so I guess the rain was short-lived.

I'm finally going to post some of the pictures I took while I was at home this last week. I meant to several days ago, but never could find that pesky flash drive. I hope I haven't lost it!

This is our land looking south of our house, there is a creek down there and I used to play in it all the time as a child.

One of my brother's many birdfeeders in our yard.

I loved the colors on this calf, he was too cute not to take a picture of.

One of my mom's beautiful flowers. She always has some sort of flower blooming in our yard.

My birthday cake. We had a belated birthday dinner with both sets of my grandparents and my mom made some of my favorite foods for dinner. Grilled lemon-pepper chicken, potato casserole, fried okra, hot rolls and of course the strawberry birthday cake she's made me every year since my first birthday.

Well, time for me to get started on cleaning this house, if only I could talk Boomer into helping!
