So I've lurked several weeks on
American Mums Wordless Wednesday Fotofest and I thought it was high time I joined in.
The theme this week is vintage.
The main street in the town nearest to us is chock-full of vintage images, so I chose it as my subject.
The old courthouse, quite grand isn't it? The clock tower still keeps perfect time and chimes on the hour.
The old Vernon Bank that is no longer in use. It has the best sign though!
Even the stop signs look vintage to me.
Wow, that does look like a vintage town! Great shots. Thanks so much for joining in. I love when we get new participants!
ReplyDeleteYou're right! Even the stop sign looks vintage! I love how the word "bank" in the sign looks like an after thought. Like... oh yeah, by the way, this is a bank!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you joined in!!

ReplyDeletethat stop sign is seriously so stinking cool! I have never seen one like that before!
ReplyDeletethe other two are also amazing, your town looks so cute! I live in a small town and I love that there are still traces of the past everywhere you look despite all the efforts to make the town look "new"
happy wwwat!
Awesome pictures!! Holy crap lady, you have some talent!
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE old towns that have kept all their original landmarks! It makes me wonder about what life was like for the families who lived there when all of it was new. Amazing!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like the town I grew up in! I love the old signs and antebellum look to the buildings!!
ReplyDeleteI love the bank sign, it appears totally vintage! Anything in black and white can be pulled off as vintage - and you totally did it!
ReplyDeletevery lovely pics
